Pest infestations are not always about rats and cockroaches. Some small, less well-known intruders can be just as scary, and they can do even more damage. They are very good at hiding, they spread quickly, and most of the time, no one notices them until the damage is done.

Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are small, rust-colored bugs that feed on human blood, usually at night. Even though they are not carriers of diseases, their bites can be painful, cause allergic reactions, and keep you up at night.
You might not be able to see them, but there will be a line or clump of red, itching bumps on your skin. They hide under beds, in cracks in furniture, and even behind picture frames.
To avoid them, be careful with used furniture and hotel rooms. Also, look at the seams, cracks, and sides. Regularly wash your sheets in hot water.
Call pest control right away if you see any signs. It is hard to get rid of them by yourself.
Carpet Beetles
At first, carpet beetles do not seem dangerous. Their young, however, eat clothes, rugs, and curtains, especially wool, silk, and leather items.
You may not be able to see the bugs, but you will find holes in your clothes or dead bugs on window sills. Most of the time, they get in through open windows or flowers. It is important to vacuum often, especially under furniture, around walls, and in closets.

Silverfish
These strange, shiny bugs with long antennae like it when it is damp outside. Their favorite places are bathrooms, basements, and kitchens.
They like to eat glue, paper, and dead insects. Silverfish may be to blame for small holes in books or wallpaper.
Use dehumidifiers or make sure your home has good air flow to lower the dampness. Keep pictures and books in dry places. Fill in cracks in pipes and walls to keep them out.
Stink Bugs
During the cooler months, stink bugs sneak in to stay warm. They give off a strong, unpleasant smell when they are scared or squished. They do not bite or damage homes, but when there are a lot of them, the smell can be too strong to handle.
Fix any holes or cracks in the walls, doors, or windows. Make sure there are no holes or loose walls around chimneys. If they are inside, vacuum them up and throw away the bag right away.
Drain Flies
These fuzzy little flies look like moths. For the most part, they live in drains in bathrooms and kitchens, where there is a lot of gunk. They are not dangerous, but they are really annoying and tough to get rid of.

These bugs move very quickly and have long legs. They are helpful because they eat bugs like spiders and ants. But most people still do not want them crawling on their floors.
